Yoga should be done on an empty stomach. Allow 3-4 hours after a heavy meal or 2 hours after a light snack.
It is not a good idea to drink during the class so please do not take water or drink bottles into the studio with you.
Yoga is suitable for most people. However if you are in any doubt about your fitness for yoga on medical grounds, please contact us to discuss your concerns with the teacher before coming to your first class.
If you have any of the following conditions please speak to the teacher at the beginning of the class, in case it is not suitable for you:
high blood pressure
heart disease
epilepsy including petit mal
cancer or benign tumours
diabetes
menieres disease
detached retina
aids
multiple sclerosis
m.e.
if you have recently had an operation
pregnant women -
(our teachers are not able to accept pregnant students who are new to
them)
If you have any of these conditions yoga may be beneficial, but you will need a specifically qualified teacher. Please contact us if you would like more information or to speak to one of our teachers about your particular circumstances.
